POINT LOMA

POINT LOMA 92106 Point Loma is a long peninsula stretching across the entrance to the San Diego Bay. There are views of the bay and downtown on the East Side of the hill and views of the Pacific on the west. Neighborhoods include Fleetridge, Sunset Cliffs, La Playa, Roseville and Loma Portal, the first subdivision on or near the peninsula founded in 1869. Loma Portal now includes the Midway shopping area with several mini-malls and large stores.

Roseville and La Playa are the home of the Naval Training Center and military housing, as well as the shopping area along Rosecrans Street. On the tip of the point are the Cabrillo National Monument, an historic lighthouse, and Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
