Point Loma is a long peninsula stretching across the entrance to the San Diego Bay. There are views of the bay and downtown on the East Side of the hill and views of the Pacific on the west. Neighborhoods include Fleetridge, Sunset Cliffs, La Playa, Roseville and Loma Portal, the first subdivision on or near the peninsula founded in 1869.
